Drain Rehabilitation
Drain Relining in Ealing & Surrounding Areas
Drain Relining
Many drains and sewers that have been identified for repair can be RE LINED.
This process involves inserting a pre measured flexible pipe into the damaged section. The pipe is inflated to 'mould itself' to the damaged pipe and then allowed to cure.
These repairs are strong and designed to be permanent. Although the diameter of the pipe is reduced by about 5% the flow is greatly increased because the pipe has no connections. Drain re lining is the most cost effective and least disruptive form of repair for damaged drains and sewers. It is the preferred method by most insurance and local authorities simply because disruption and cost are now so important.
Drain Patching
If the patching service can be carried out, this is the best and most cost effective solution, however the problem may have gone past this stage and so then Re-lining is the best option. There is no disruption to the environment by digging. A simple insulation tube or liner is placed inside the original tube. London Flood Prevention offers the latest in no dig sewer rehabilitation via the latest patch lining system it provides a quick and often less disruptive method of drain repair than excavation works. Patch liners are used to repair localised damage. This method involves placing a piece of resin impregnated glass fibre matting onto an elongated inflatable bladder and guiding into place with a CCTV camera, once in position the bladder is inflated and held in place till the curing process is complete leaving a permanent and watertight repair.
Drain De-rooting
Root infiltration is a big problem with drains that run either under or close to trees and bushes. If this problem is diagnosed during a CCTV survey London Flood Prevention use a rotating root cutter to remove fibrous matter and mass roots from the drain.
Once all of the roots have been removed, it is usually possible to install a drain liner into the affected run to prevent the re-growth of the roots, therefore eliminating blockages and leakage into the ground.
Drain Descaling
Hard water scale is a major problem to the vast majority of drainage systems. Over the years drain pipe diameters become reduced by a heavy build of scale which then becomes almost as hard as concrete. London Flood Prevention use the very best equipment so that your drains can be restored to a high standard. These reboring machines are used to cut away the scale and return the drain back to full flow capacity. In most cases drain descales require the use of high pressure jetting equipment. pumping water at 4,000 PSI.
Drain Repairs
Drains may crack and joints open up resulting from ground movement, water infiltration, root ingress or vehicular traffic. The only solution in the past has been to locate the defective area and repair the pipe after excavating to expose the drain. This is no longer the case.
While excavating is still necessary in some cases London Flood Prevention now offers a range of no dig repair techniques to repair structural and non structural defects in drains. This is a major advantage providing a quick, efficient and cost effective solution to the client.
